Some results on compound Clifford correspondences and linear reductions

 In this talk, we will give a sketch on our recent study on the compound Clifford correspondences and linear reductions, which were introduced by E.C. Dade and I. Isaacs in 1980’s and 2000’s.  Our talk will cover the following results:In a π-separable group G, we define the compound Clifford correspondences for a π-partial character triple. We will show that under some suitable conditions, every inductor of a π-partial character triple is a compound Clifford correspondent. 

We introduce the concept of Fitting subtriples and obtain a structure theorem of character triples. In particular, we show that if a triple has no nilpotent linear limit, then a linear limit of this triple contains an anisotropic controlled character-five (in the sense of Issacs).

We will also give some applications of this theory.

常学武,山西大学数学科学学院副教授,理学博士,从事有限群表示论研究。
